I think it fits the Rules

So my makeover has taken on entirely insane proportions. Not only have my children decided I should look "cuter", but my friends have jumped in as well. While at a conference this summer with some work friends, we went shopping. My school's social worker peer pressured me into buying this dress... I thought it wasn't terribly flattering on me, but she insisted WB would love her for making me buy it. Since it was something like $10 I gave in... and wore it this weekend for a friend's wedding. I felt a bit exposed in it, but looking at this picture I guess I don't look that bad! The kicker to all this is the number of teachers and students around school who have noticed I've changed my wardrobe, and commented positively. My only worry now is winter-- I'm not sure I can go a day without a turtleneck and sweater!

You look gohgeous!

Hmm.. I can't picture you NOT wearing a turtleneck past like.. September or so. Heck, I'm already in sweatshirts and wool socks at night. Always so derned cold.

Seriously though, the dress is great. Makeovers are great. Looking good. :)

For the winter, try the comfy, yet stylish turtleneck sweater!

What is this Peru's What Not To Wear? Sounds like a fun fundraiser!

Love the dress and the colors on you. You look great! But I am sure that you will be wearing sweaters and turtlenecks in the winter. Let's have Clinton and Stacy try to survive a Maine winter without the proper gear!

Yes, What Not to Wear it is! I've been nominated by cheerleaders, and was actually asked if I would consider participating in a makeover fundraiser...

(Yes, for anyone who cares.)

Thanks for all the support in this new way of living! I do own a few turtleneck sweaters, but they don't keep me quite warm enough. Maybe a turtleneck hidden underneath?

A crew neck under a tank top does it for me.

Try some silk long underwear! LL Bean has some really pretty tops with a scoop neck that are easily hidden under most outfits. It's a nice light layer that will keep you toasty!
